Background:

Seth and I were so excited about Jared and Liz‘s Alum Creek Farm Wedding! Jared and Seth began their friendship at Walsh Jesuit Highschool in 1994 where they played football together! Seth was voted as the funniest in the class and Jared was voted as the most attractive in the class. They still hold these titles now 20 years later. 

Getting Ready:

Seth met the guys at the Hilton/ Polaris where he got up close and personal. I stuck with the ladies at the Alum Creek’s beautiful farmhouse where I captured so many great moments. Liz and Jared‘s family is super important to them. Seth and I always make it a point to learn about what the couple envisions their wedding photos to look like. For Liz and Jared, it was their friends and family’s loving support.

Creative Session:

There are endless amazing spots at Alum Creek Farm for creative photos. Liz and Jared were so trusting of Seth and me to capture their love. They were not afraid to lay on the ground, climb a windmill or go off-road into the woods a little.

Ceremony:

A death in the family is always tough. The death of Liz’s father so close to the wedding was certainly difficult. Liz’s brother walked her down the aisle in honor of their dad. This last hug before they entered the ceremony was a powerful moment.

The Reception:

An unforgettable moment was during the mother-daughter dance where many of Liz‘s uncles supported her during the dance. The entire room was overcome with emotion as the feeling of love and support attached all of our hearts. At one moment, Seth even had to take off his glasses and wipe away tears of his own. If you know Seth, this is very unlike him! 

Seth and I walked away from Liz and Jared‘s wedding so grateful to have them in our lives and will always be grateful that they trusted us to be their photographers on the biggest day ever. Since then, we have had an incredible reveal session and album build together. They came over to our house and had a family dinner with Seth, myself, Geo, and Hank. Seth made incredible tri-tip on his smoker and we all laughed and reminisced about the wedding day together!
