History of the Cleveland Arcade
Located in downtown Cleveland, the beautiful Cleveland Arcade opened back in 1890 and was America’s very first indoor shopping center! This historic building was modeled after the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, Italy. It was designed as an urban mercantile center by designers John M. Eisenmann and George H. Smith. Before the name, The Arcade Cleveland, this stunning building was known as “Cleveland’s Crystal Palace” and the first building in the city to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Over time, the arcade started to go downhill until an astonishing $60-million renovation was in place in 2001 and turned it into the breathtaking building we see today!
Why the Cleveland Arcade is Great for Engagement Photos:
Both indoor and outdoor, the architecture of the building makes for the most beautiful engagement photos! Everywhere you turn is another amazing spot to take photos. Not only is the arcade picture worthy, it is located right near the House of Blues, Horseshoe Casino, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Quicken Loans arena and Playhouse Square! So not only do you get to get pictures at the Cleveland Arcade, you have the whole city!

We call them Connection Sessions. It’s your first family session. 90-minute photo session spending some quality time together, getting to know you, and taking rad pics in the process. Lots of cuddling and laughing…we’ll have a blast!
