This Wedding at Franklin Park Conservatory Columbus is everything Sydney and Justin dreamed for. The conservatory combines beautiful gardens, natural light, and modern architecture all in one place. Because of that, it creates an incredible setting for a wedding day.

Their ceremony and reception were held inside the Palm House, the large glass greenhouse at the center of the property. Even more meaningful, their celebration was one of the final weddings held there before the upcoming renovation. It felt special knowing the space was about to begin a new chapter.

The property also offers a great mix of indoor and outdoor locations. Because everything is close together, the timeline moves smoothly and couples can get a wide variety of portraits throughout the day.

Palm House Weddings at Franklin Park Conservatory Columbus

The Palm House is the most recognizable space at Franklin Park Conservatory Columbus. The tall glass structure fills the room with natural light, which makes it ideal for ceremonies.

Sydney and Justin exchanged vows surrounded by palms and greenery. Their guests sat beneath the glass ceiling while sunlight filled the room. Because the space already feels warm and inviting, very little décor was needed.

When Sydney walked down the aisle, Justin immediately smiled. Their ceremony felt relaxed and genuine, which made the entire room feel connected to the moment.

Palm House ceremonies have a way of feeling both grand and intimate at the same time, which is why couples are drawn to this space.

Creative Portraits at Franklin Park Conservatory Columbus

After the ceremony, we stepped outside for a creative session around the gardens and grounds. The property has several outdoor areas that work well for portraits.

Stone paths, sculptures, and seasonal flowers create different backdrops throughout the property. Because everything is close together, couples can move between locations without leaving guests for long.

Sydney and Justin were relaxed and easy together, which made portraits feel natural. Meanwhile, the evening light softened and added a warm tone to the gardens.

These short portrait sessions allow couples to step away from the crowd for a few minutes and enjoy the day together.

Bridal and Groom Portraits at Franklin Park Conservatory Columbus

Before the reception began, we photographed individual portraits of Sydney and Justin at Franklin Park Conservatory Columbus.

Sydney’s portraits were taken in soft window light near the greenhouse gardens. The natural light highlighted the details of her dress while the greenery created a simple background.

Justin’s look stood out right away. Instead of a traditional tux, he wore a bold blue suit with a lot of personality. The color worked especially well with the neutral tones of the conservatory.

Some portraits were also taken upstairs in the greenhouse among the creative Christmas displays. The seasonal installations added color and texture to the space. Surrounded by lights and greenery, the setting felt festive but still luxurious.

Because the upstairs space was quieter, Sydney and Justin were able to relax and enjoy a few calm moments before heading back to the celebration.

Palm House Reception

As evening began, the Palm House was reset for the reception. The bright botanical garden space slowly shifted into a warmer evening atmosphere.

Tables were placed beneath the palms while candles and soft lighting filled the room. Guests settled in for dinner while the glass ceiling reflected the lights above.

Family and friends shared speeches, which brought both laughter and a few emotional moments. Soon after, Sydney and Justin stepped onto the dance floor for their first dance together.

The dance floor quickly filled and the celebration carried on late into the evening.

Why Seth and Beth Love Photographing Here

We always enjoy photographing weddings at Franklin Park Conservatory Columbus because the venue offers so many options in one location.

The Palm House provides beautiful natural light for ceremonies and portraits. Meanwhile, the surrounding gardens allow couples to add variety to their photos without traveling anywhere else.

Another reason the venue works well is how easily the day flows. Everything is close together, which keeps the timeline relaxed and allows couples to spend more time with their guests.

Sydney and Justin’s wedding was a great example of why we love working here. Their celebration was simple, joyful, and full of genuine moments.
