There is something undeniably timeless about a Stan Hywet Wedding. The historic manor. The sweeping gardens. The way the light filters through the trees just before sunset. It feels like stepping into another era — refined, romantic, and completely unforgettable.
Jack and Laura’s wedding day embodied all of it.
From the moment we arrived, there was a quiet elegance woven into every detail. Laura’s gown felt perfectly at home against the historic stone of the manor. Jack’s expression when he saw her for the first time said everything — this was the beginning of something lasting. Their day wasn’t just beautiful. It was intentional. Every choice reflected who they are: classic, joyful, and deeply connected.
A Stan Hywet Wedding has a way of elevating everything around it. The architecture alone creates a backdrop that doesn’t need embellishment. Add in thoughtful florals, a heartfelt ceremony, and the energy of two families becoming one — and it becomes pure magic.

Jack and Laura’s Dream Stan Hywet Wedding
When couples choose this venue, they’re not just booking a space. They’re choosing history, grandeur, and atmosphere. Jack and Laura leaned fully into that vision.
They wanted their wedding to feel romantic but relaxed. Elegant but not overdone. A celebration that felt natural within the estate’s surroundings. And Stan Hywet delivers that balance effortlessly.
The morning began inside the manor, where Laura and her bridesmaids got ready surrounded by antique charm and soft window light. There’s something about those rooms — tall ceilings, ornate moldings, historic details — that instantly elevates bridal portraits. Meanwhile, Jack and his groomsmen shared laughs and quiet anticipation before heading out to explore the grounds.
One of the things we love most about photographing a Stan Hywet Wedding is the versatility. You can move from dramatic stone backdrops to lush garden pathways in just minutes. Every corner offers something different — yet cohesive.
Jack and Laura’s first look took place tucked away near the gardens, where the greenery created a private, intimate setting. It allowed them to breathe together before the day fully unfolded. That pause? It set the tone for everything that followed.

Their Amazing Ceremony Outside of Stan Hywet Manor
With an outdoor ceremony and the manor behind them, Jack and Laura were ready for a perfect day.
Guests were seated on the lawn as soft music carried through the air. The symmetry of the estate framed the aisle perfectly. When Laura walked toward Jack, framed by historic stone and blooming gardens, it felt like something out of a European countryside wedding.
This is one of the reasons couples choose a Stan Hywet Wedding — the outdoor ceremony space is unmatched. The manor becomes a living backdrop, grounding the moment in tradition and beauty.
There’s a natural intimacy to the unique outdoor ceremony here. Even with a larger guest count, the setting feels connected. The architecture creates structure, while the open sky keeps it light and celebratory.
Jack and Laura wrote personal vows, and you could feel every word. There were tears. There was laughter. And when they were pronounced husband and wife, the applause echoed across the grounds.
Moments like that are why we love what we do.

Creative Photos in the Gardens and Stan Hywet’s Birch Alley
After the ceremony, we explored the gardens — one of our favorite parts of any Stan Hywet Wedding.
The gardens offer endless texture and dimension. From manicured hedges to open green lawns, from winding pathways to hidden nooks — every turn presents a new opportunity.
And then there’s the Birch Alley.
Stan Hywet’s Birch Alley is iconic. The tall, slender trees create natural leading lines that draw your eye straight to the couple. It’s elegant. Graphic. Clean. And incredibly romantic.
We used the length of the alley for sweeping, cinematic portraits — letting Jack and Laura walk hand-in-hand beneath the canopy of white bark. The symmetry makes it stunning for wide shots, while the filtered light creates soft, flattering portraits up close.
One of our favorite images from the day happened right there. Laura’s veil caught a bit of wind, Jack pulled her in closer, and the entire scene felt like it belonged in a fine art magazine.
The beauty of a Stan Hywet Wedding is that it doesn’t require forced posing. The venue does half the storytelling. Our job is simply to guide, refine, and capture what’s already unfolding naturally.
