Murphy and Austin had a spectacular Via Vecchia Wedding in Columbus Ohio! These two, like many 2020 couples are well deserving of the reception of their dreams. They rescheduled their wedding from earlier in the year to this beautiful August date. This couple had the most beautiful Grange Audubon wedding photos that showcased their love and their amazing bridal party.
More than just a bride and groom, Murphy and Austin are friends.
Murphy, Austin, Seth and myself became instant friends starting with our very first phone call. We all had so many similarities including being educators and also fighting Scots for the College of Wooster. Though Seth is probably 10 years older than Austin, they both played on the College of Wooster football team with the same coach and stayed at the same dorm, Holden Hall.
Soon, our friendship continued to grow through the planning process, engagement shoot/Connection Session, the connection session reveal and the planning of their beautiful Grange Audubon and Via Vecchia Winery Wedding in Columbus Ohio.
Murphy and Austin are more than just a couple to us, they are our forever friends.
The wedding day
Like all of our couples, Murphy and Austin meant so much to us. When we woke up on their wedding day I felt like we were getting ready to go to our friend’s wedding. I made a point to call their parents before the wedding to learn more about as parents of the bride and groom, what they are looking forward to on the wedding day and what photos they were personally looking forward to having forever.
Seth and I always try to connect with as many people from the wedding as we can. We’ve noticed by establishing a relationship prior to the wedding with the parents, they feel more comfortable in the photos and they can just be themself. So, when Seth and I arrived at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Downtown Columbus, we already knew so many people and they felt at ease in the photos. They will just be themselves and let us capture the memories.
The ceremony
The ceremony was at Saint Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Galloway Ohio. This is the bride’s family‘s church that they have been attending for the brides entire life.
After the ceremony, we traveled in an extreme limo bus to the Grange Audubon park in downtown Columbus. The park is so special to Columbus as the location is closed for downtown couples large enough for photographers to capture their photos safely during Covid. Then, it was here at Grange Audubon Park, we took all buddy shots, bridal party pictures, and creative photos. Later, it was off to the reception at the newly open via Vecchia in downtown Columbus.
Grange Audubon
Looking for natural backdrops for your wedding photos? Look no further! Located adjacent to Columbus is the beautiful Grange Audubon Center. Grange Audubon wedding photos are by far the most beautiful! This park is located in the center of Scioto Audubon Metro Park. The view of the sunset at this park is absolutely breathtaking and makes for some awesome silhouette photos. Seth and I love photographing at this park because it is perfect for all sorts of photos like engagement photos, family portraits, senior, and wedding photos.
Via Vecchia
The Via Vecchia is located in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Seth and I were so excited to have the opportunity to photograph at the newly open Via Vecchia. We are one of the first photographers to be able to photograph here. We were in love with all of the space, the modern feel, the chandeliers and the beautiful patio. Via Vecchia has put so much thought into the process of what couples are looking for. This new space is going to be perfect for couples that want a clean modern feel for their wedding reception. I absolutely loved dancing outside. It was a beautiful night with the sun setting in the background.
